Digital Sales Expert Stories

Artemis Kloni

Sales Manager

What I absolutely love about working in sales is the chance to connect with people on a personal level. It's not just about selling a product; it's about understanding someone's story and figuring out how I can genuinely help. The satisfaction of finding solutions that make a real impact is what keeps me going.

1. Tell us about the highlights of your digital sales career to date:

Following my graduation, my journey kicked off in marketing, but my passion for sales quickly led me to shift gears. Seeking a more dynamic environment, I immersed myself in the startup world, taking on various roles in business development and sales. In my current position at Talent Data Labs, I consider myself fortunate to not only delve into the intricacies of the SaaS industry and B2B but also to be part of an environment that provides the freedom to explore new initiatives. This, coupled with a culture of continuous learning, has been instrumental in fostering both my personal and professional growth.

2. Why did you choose to enter the world of digital sales?

After completing my degree in economics and business administration and as I entered the workforce, it became clear to me that sales is the backbone of any successful company. This realization, coupled with my love for engaging with people and helping them, led me from marketing to sales operations.

The dynamic nature of sales, its impact on business growth, and the opportunity to craft compelling narratives that truly connect with customers are what keep me hooked on this exciting journey.

3. What is it you love most about working in the digital sales industry and why?

What I absolutely love about working in digital sales is the chance to connect with people on a personal level. It's not just about selling a product; it's about understanding someone's story and figuring out how I can genuinely help. The satisfaction of finding solutions that make a real impact is what keeps me going. Plus, every day in sales is like a new adventure. The constant mix of challenges and opportunities to grow makes it exciting. It's not just a job; it's a journey where making real connections meets the thrill of getting results.

4. Are there any important tips you would give to digital sales professionals looking to take their careers to the next level?

One key tip for sales pros aiming to level up is to prioritize continuous learning. Stay updated on industry trends and embrace training opportunities. Cultivating strong relationships, both with clients and within your industry, opens doors to valuable insights and collaborations. Lastly, resilience is your secret weapon. Learn from setbacks, adapt, and use challenges as stepping stones to propel your career forward. Keep learning, build relationships, and bounce back stronger.

5. What would be your motivational advice to digital salespeople that are going through a bit of a slump?

In the midst of a sales slump, remember: it's a phase, not a permanent state. Don't take it personally; even the best hit rough patches. Take a step back, reassess your strategies, and focus on small wins. Break down your goals into manageable tasks, celebrating the little victories. Seek support from your team or mentor, and view setbacks as temporary lessons. Use this time to learn, adapt, and come back stronger. Stay positive, stay persistent, and trust that brighter days are ahead.

6. Do you recommend any useful digital sales tools, platforms or sales training courses that can help sales professionals raise their games?

I've had great experiences with Salesforce and HubSpot in the past, delivering solid results. However, I'm currently a big fan of Apollo for its innovative insights—it's been a game-changer for me. Additionally, I've found tremendous value in the teachings of Josh Braun.

7. In your opinion, what are the 3 most important traits that make digital salespeople successful?

Empathy, Resilience and Adaptability.

8. What do you feel will be the future key trends that digital sales professionals need to adapt to and be ready for?

I feel that, in the dynamic realm of sales, riding the wave of AI and automation, prioritizing personalized customer experiences, and mastering the art of virtual selling will be pivotal. But, beyond the tech buzz, never underestimate the timeless power of genuine connections.
