1. Tell us about the highlights of your digital sales career to date:

I started working in sales after my degree when I joined a financial services consultancy firm in London and then went to work in the banking sector. I then transitioned into the education industry where I worked in business development for a UK business school managing a team of sales consultants. I then wanted to get more into the online education tech sector where I later joined the Digital Marketing Institute (DMI) who I’ve proudly been with for the last 11+ years. My roles have centered around giving consultancy advice to professionals, companies and education providers across multiple different industries and sectors in relation to digital marketing and digital sales transformation.
2. Why did you choose to enter the world of digital sales?
​
It was pretty much an area I kind of fell into unexpectedly but quickly enjoyed it.
3. What is it you love most about working in the digital sales industry and why?
​
Educational Sales is rewarding because of the powerful impact and difference you can make on the career progression of individuals moving forward in their careers.
4. Are there any important tips you would give to sales professionals looking to take their careers to the next level?
​
Alway be open to try new challenges and never stop learning. Going above and beyond for your client is always a great way to maximize your sales success.
5. What would be your motivational advice to digital salespeople that are going through a bit of a slump?
​
Always remain positive even when things might seem tough - persistence and determination are what will help you overcome any tough sales challenges.
6. Do you recommend any useful digital sales tools, platforms or sales training courses that can help sales professionals raise their games?
Salesforce and Hubspot are a fantastic way to automate and refine your sales process while Linkedin Navigator is also a worthy investment.
7. In your opinion, what are the 3 most important traits that make digital salespeople successful?
​
Positivity, Empathy and Determination.

8. What do you feel will be the future key trends that digital sales professionals need to adapt to and be ready for?
